Columbus rock outfit The Saturday Giant will perform at 11 p.m. on Tuesday at Be Here Now in support of its most recent release, 2012’s "When Death Comes."

Since 2010, musician Philip Cogley has been recording and performing his own quirky take on rock and roll under his The Saturday Giant moniker, having released two EPs, 2010’s "You’ve Heard of Dragons ," as well as his most recent release, "When Death Comes."

Cogley’s performances are noted for their intense energy, recording live every sample and loop used during his sets, which includes, keyboards, guitars, bass, drums, vocals and beatboxing.

His touring schedule is incredibly dense, having performed more than 140 dates in 2013 and nearly 200 in 2014.

The Saturday Giant will go on after Be Here Now’s regularly scheduled Tuesday night open-mic, and the event is free and open to those over the age of 18.
