The Ball State field hockey team fell to 2-4 in the Mid-American Conference, losing 6-1 to Kent State on Saturday.

"Today was frustrating. We worked hard in the first half and failed to do so in the second half," head coach Beth Maddox said in a statement. "Consistency was an issue for us."

Junior Bethany Han scored the only goal for Cardinals, her fifth of the season.

Goalkeeper Shelby Henley registered 11 saves on 17 shots faced.

The Ball State field hockey team returns to action Nov. 1, when it hosts Miami University at 1 p.m. for its regular season finale.
