SOUTH BEND, Ind.– Post-game, Ball State Women’s Basketball head coach Brady Sallee was respectful towards his opponent. He was joking around about opposing fans “catcalling him," not as upset as one would think following a 35-point loss.
Catholics v Cardinals. Ball State Women’s Basketball (2-2) faced the ninth-best women’s basketball team in the nation (Associated Press poll), Notre Dame (4-0), with the Fighting Irish winning 95-60. Although it was a one-sided showing for most of the game, Ball State head coach Brady Sallee said this game would make the Cardinals better in the long run, and gave credit to Irish head coach, Niele Ivey, for scheduling a home-and-home with Ball State, noting Notre Dame is scheduled to visit Ball State in the 2023-24 season.
Saturday will last a while for Ball State Men's Basketball and its fans as the Cardinals embark on a 21-day hiatus from Worthen Arena following their win over IU-South Bend 86-72.

In Ball State’s (1-1, 0-0 MAC) first game on the road this season, they fell short to Indiana State (2-0, 0-0 MVC) 83-71. The Sycamores jumped out to an early lead which, despite a good second half, the Cardinals could not recover from.

All figures are the base salaries, not including retention bonuses, incentives or coaching perks. All multi-year contracts included liquidation causes that detail the amount owed by the coach or Ball State University in the event of a coach's departure. If the coach chooses to leave, there is a certain amount that they owe the university in liquidation depending on how many years are left on the contract, but if the university decided to terminate the coach's contract without probable cause, the university owes that coach a certain amount to fulfill the remainder of the contract.
