The 44th annual Larry McWilliams Dimensions in Jazz Festival on March 5th at John R. Emens auditorium. High school jazz bands from across the the region participated in competitions and clinics, while the day ended with a performance from the Ball State jazz ensemble.

Over 1,000 Cardinals gathered in the Field Sports Building from Feb. 25-26 for the 10th-annual Ball State Dance Marathon. The 13.1-hour event raised just over $677,000 to donate to Riley Hospital for Children.

Philadelphia-based music group Get the Led Out performed at John R. Emens Auditorium on Feb. 24. Named the American Led Zeppelin, the group recreates the classic Zeppelin sound with their own performance and studio overdubs from the original band.
The Ball State Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, combined Ball State Choirs and the Indianapolis Children’s Choir perform in the School of Music's Masterworks Concert in Sursa Performance Hall on Feb. 24. The concert, which will also be performed on Feb. 26 at the Palladium in Carmel, consisted of selections of music to be performed at this year’s College Band Director’s National Association (CBDNA) National Conference and a performance of Carl Orff's masterpiece Carmina Burana.
The Ethnic Theatre Alliance held a Call To Action Rally on Feb. 23 at the University Green to peacefully protest the recent approval of Indiana Senate Bill 423, which prohibits universities in the state from admitting undocumented immigrants. ETA's mission for the rally was to make Ball State a Sanctuary Campus and demonstrate that student will not stand for the bill.

The Ball State track and field hosts the only home indoor meet of the season in the Field Sports Buidling on Feb. 17. The Ball State Tune-Up included teams from Fort Wayne, Western Michigan, and Wright State.
Jim Davis, creator of the cartoon Garfield, spoke at Sursa Performance Hall on Feb. 15. Davis started as an Artist-in-Residence in 2016 to lecture and teach master classes for the School of Art.
Ball State women's basketball lost 68-72 against Ohio on Feb. 11 in Worthen Arena. The matchup supported the Play4kay cancer fund and the Cardinals, as well as many audience members, dressed up in pink to show support.
The Muncie Mission hosted it's 13th annual Walk a Mile in My Shoes event on Feb. 11 where members of the community walked a mile from the Muncie Fieldhouse to the Muncie Mission. This year's event so far has raised $60,972 to help the mission continue serving the needs of homeless men in the Muncie area.

American bluegrass band Run Boy Run performed in John J. Pruis Hall on Feb. 9. The band plays a combination of traditional bluegrass music as well as some of their own original work.
