Ball State men’s tennis team gathers together after winning the match against IUPUI on April 12 at Cardinal Creek Tennis Center. The team returns to action on April 14 against Western Michigan.
The Ball State baseball team played against Valparaiso on April 11 at Ball Diamond in the First Merchants Ballpark Complex. The Cardinals won 11-2 bringing their win streak up to 4 games.
The third annual Chirpies, an annual student-athlete award show, was held on April 10 at John R. Emens Auditorium. Country artist Chase Bryant performed during the ceremony as the show's headliner. The Ball State Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the nation’s first digital sports production program, Ball State Sports Link, presented the various awards, including Female Athlete of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year, the Cardinal Caring Award and the Comeback Award, to recognize Ball State's student athletes.
The Ball State men’s volleyball team won 3-0 in the match against No. 10 Loyola-Chicago in John E. Worthen Arena on April 8. The team secured the 4th seed in the MIVA Tournament by sweeping the Ramblers and winning by 20 points.
The University Singers 53rd Annual Spectacular takes place in John R. Emens Auditorium on April 7. University Singers is a live entertainment organization in the nature of a show choir.
Students came to see the fun and energetic Jive Aces on April 6 at John J. Pruis Hall. In 2012, the swing band placed third in Britain's Got Talent and was the only band to advance to the semi-finals.
Ball State softball competed in a double-header against Northern Illinois on April 4 at the Softball Field at the First Merchants Ballpark Complex. Ball State won the first game 3-2 and the second game 6-4, leading the Cardinals to their sixth straight win.
Ball State women's tennis competed against against Buffalo on April 2 at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center. The Cardinals won 5-2, and now stand 6-6 overall, 0-2 MAC.
Spectrum hosted The Drag Show in Oz on Saturday in Ball Gymnasium. The money raised by the performers will go to a charity called the We're Trying Collective, a group that's been raising funds to paint a mural on the side of Mark Tap Room III in downtown Muncie. The mural is in honor of those who have lost their lives at the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting that took place during the summer of 2016.
Ball State played against Ohio University on April 2 at Ball Diamond in First Merchants Ballpark Complex. Ball State lost 10-0, bringing the Cardinals losing streak to eight games in a row.
The annual alumni soccer game was on April Fool's Day at the Briner Sports Complex field. The players played a friendly but competitive game.
Ball State's Fashion Design Society presented its 'Cheers to 20 years' fashion show on April 1 in the Applied Technology Building. The society was created to foster creativity and collaboration among its members, as well as gain insights into the apparel design industry.

The Ball State opera theater performs at a dress rehearse of Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) on March 28th at Sursa Performance Hall. Opening night for the show will be Friday, March 31st at 7:30 p.m. in Sursa Performance Hall and a second performance will be on Sunday, April 2nd at 2 p.m. also in Sursa Performance Hall.
Beehive: The 60s Musical Sensation performs at John R. Emens Auditorium on March 28. The musical, which is on its 30th anniversary tour, consists of six singers dressed in 43 wigs and 40 costumes, using 25 cans of hairspray each week.

DWNTWN Muncie celebrated its 15th annual Muncie Gras on March 25. The event featured its first parade, several outdoor bars and food vendors, the Illuminate EDM Dance Party, The Fabulous Funcie Femmes and Friends Burlesque Show and much more.
People from all over the state gathered to the Indiana State House to support President Trump and his administration and veterans by marching around the Monument Circle, holding prayers, and live patriotic music on March 25.
