The festival is held annually educate the community in the history, arts and culture of Muncie. Community engagement is encouraged through booths, activities and crafts throughout the Emily Kimbrough Historic District. Events such as Olde Wrestling, Beard Contests and more were held.
Ball State University sororities welcome home new members Sunday, Sept.16, 2018 at the Quad.
The Cardinals met the Hoosiers in Bloomington for the non-conference game Saturday, Sept. 15. The Cardinals went into the game positive, but came out defeated with a final score of 38-10. Ball State will welcome Western Kentucky to Scheumann Stadium on the 22nd.
An estimated 300 people were in attendance as part of the annual White River Clean-Up. The clean-up began in 2007, and has since organized 2,700 volunteers to clean over 98,000 pounds of trash out of the river, including 650 tires.
Ball State's Women's Soccer team defeated the University of Nebraska-Omaha in a game Sept. 14 at Briner Sports Complex. Neither team scored during the first half, but the Cardinals pulled through defeating the Durangos 3-1. The women's team now has a record of 4-1-1.
The United Way of Delaware County began its annual campaign by hosting a reunion of the band, Voices United. The band gathered at the fundraiser reuniting for the first time since 2007. Voices (Re)United is just one event which raises money for families affected by poverty throughout Muncie.
The Exchange Club of Muncie hosts their annual event, Flags of Honor, at Minnetrista Sept. 4-11. The event is a fundraiser for the Exchange Club while also recognizing those who have served the country and community. Black ribbons honor members of the community who have lost their lives during service. Families are able to purchase yellow ribbons in special recognition of their loved one.
The Ball State women's volleyball team hosted the Ankle Challenge this weekend. Visiting schools included North Dakota State, Northern Iowa and Indiana University. The Cardinals won one of the three matches they played.

The Hamilton Township Volunteer Fire Company hosts their annual hog roast. The fundraiser provided food, activities, games and more while community members were able to interact and better understand the life of a fire fighter.
A free event located in downtown Muncie to help bring the neighborhoods of Muncie together while providing community engagement, arts and crafts and information about children's classes and volunteer events throughout town. Set up were booths with this information, food and demonstrations for children to understand what being "neighborly" truly means.
Ball State and Notre Dame's football teams met for the first time in history on Sept. 8, 2018, at Notre Dame Stadium. The Cardinals held their own, but lost 16-24.
