Ball State Men's Basketball scouting report

With a little over a month of the 2018-19 high school basketball season in the books, many colleges have inked some of the standouts across the nation. Ball State Men's Basketball has also done some signing of their own and continues to pursue others. Here's who will be and may be donning the cardinal and white next season.

Inked

Luke Bumbalough

A three star recruit and 2018 Indiana All-Star out of New Castle, Bumbalough signed with the Cardinals in early November.  The point guard has posted some impressive numbers over this past season. In just five games this season, he has averaged 28 points per game, knocking in 100 from field goal range in five games. Last season, the point guard recorded 601 points and 177 assists. This season, Bumbalough netted his 1,000 career point against Hamilton Heights on November 30. Since then, he has continued to tally up his point total sitting at 143.  Blumbalough also received offers from Toledo, IUPUI and Miami (Ohio).

Lucas Kroft

Just along the Ohio-Indiana boarder, Richmond shooting guard Lucas Kroft signed on with the Cardinals in mid November. In four games, the three star recruit has knocked in 101 points and pulled down 19. In the Red Devils recent loss to North Central, Kroft downed 34 points and went a perfect 100 percent at the line. He has averaged 25.3 points per game and 4.8 rebounds. Kroft also received offers from Indiana State, Central Michigan and Youngstown State.

In the hunt

Ethan Brittian-Watts

Offers: Ball State, Wisconsin

A 6 foot point guard from Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana, Brittian-Watts has accumulated 53 points and 10 assists with the Eagles this season. He is also nearing 1,000 career points sitting at 917 overall. Last season, Brittian-Watts knocked in 434 points and 96 assists en route to an IHSAA 3A state title.

Jeremiah Oden

Offers: Ball State, Appalachian State, Arkansas-Little Rock, FIU, High Point, Illinois State, Illinois-Chicago, Miami (Ohio), New Mexico, NJIT, San Francisco, UTEP, Wisconsin

While highly recruited, the shooting forward out of Saint Rita High School in Chicago has place Ball State in his top five. Oden recently led the Mustangs to a 6 point win over Brother Rice tallying 18 points and 5 rebounds. He also hit a game winner this season against Wheaton North High School finishing with 15 points and 8 rebounds.
