Brian Stelter, CNN’s chief media correspondent, will speak at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 in Pruis Hall.

Stelter, who is the anchor of “Reliable Sources,” will be present “Truthfully Reporting in the ‘Fake News’ Era.” In addition to “Reliable Sources,” Stelter reports for CNN Business and writes a nightly e-newsletter, according to a press release.

While still a freshman in college, Stelter created a blog dedicated to coverage of the television news industry called TV Newser.

After selling the blog, he became a media reporter at The New York Times in 2007 before working for CNN starting in November 2013. That same year, Stelter published his New York Times best-selling book, “Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat Word of Morning TV.”

The presentation is free and open to the public.
