Muncie Community Schools (MCS) Emergency Manager Steve Edwards accepted Ball State University’s offer to purchase the closed Mitchell and Sutton Elementary School buildings according to a press release March 2.
The buildings, sold for a total of $435,000, are a part of MCS’s effort to financially stabilize the district, the press release said.
In September 2017, MCS put a total of six properties on the market, including the Mitchell Elementary School, Sutton Elementary School, Ross Community Center, Storer Elementary School, undeveloped land near the former Wilson Middle School and Northside Middle School.

Delta will be on the road for its next contest against Hoosier Heritage Conference rival Shelbyville April 23 at 6 p.m. Muncie Central will travel to Muncie Burris for its next matchup, also April 23 at 6 p.m.
