Country singer Justin Moore will perform his six No. 1 hits, along with songs from his four albums at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in John R. Emens Auditorium.

Moore is visiting Muncie as part of his seven-month-long tour “Hell on a Highway,” singing Billboard Country Airplay chart-topping songs like “You Look Like I Need a Drink,” “Somebody Else Will” and “Small Town USA.”

Dylan Scott, an up-and-coming country artist who sings the No.1 single “My Girl,” will open the show. Scott was recently named an artist in Spotify’s Spotlight on 2016 Country Artists, as fans have streamed his songs 200 million times.

Justin Moore has won various awards as well, including New Artist of the Year from the Academy of Country Music in 2014. Just last year, Moore released his fourth album, “KINDA DON’T CARE,” which was yet another No. 1 album debut, alongside “Off the Beaten Path.”

Taste of Country said Moore’s music has influences from both classic country and rock. When writing music and performing, Moore puts special emphasis on listening to his fans.

“What we did for this tour is we asked on social media what’s some old songs that people may want us to play that we hadn’t played in few years,” Moore told CMT. “We’ve added a handful of songs off the first couple of albums that we hadn’t played in five or six years. That’s just been fun for us, and I know the fans have dug it.”

Collin Westerman, a junior human resources major, is a fan of Moore and is looking forward to attending his first Justin Moore concert at Emens.

“I’ve heard [Justin Moore’s] concerts are really good and he does as much as possible to give the fans what they want,” Westerman said. “His songs are relatable and catchy, and Moore has a super distinguishable voice that sets him apart from everyone else.”

Kristi Chambers, assistant director of marketing and communications for Emens Auditorium, said the upcoming performance has “generated a lot of attention.”

“We are excited to have the 'Hell on a Highway' tour perform on Ball State's campus, providing an opportunity for both the campus and community to experience this hit artist,” Chambers said.
