Gov. Eric Holcomb recently said that he was “incredibly stoked” to announce the state’s five-year, $4.7 billion road maintenance and construction plan, also known as the 'Next Level Roads' Initiative.

The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to resurface nearly 10,000 miles of roadway and repair or replace about 1,300 bridges with state funding coming from fees including the recent 10-cent-per-gallon gas tax.
Over the next five years, Delaware County will receive more than $67 million in funding to improve local roads and bridges.
219 lane miles will be resurfaced and 35 bridges rehabilitated or replaced within the county.
Projects will begin in 2018 and continue through 2022. The full list of INDOT projects, as well as the total investments by year can be found here.

Delta will be on the road for its next contest against Hoosier Heritage Conference rival Shelbyville April 23 at 6 p.m. Muncie Central will travel to Muncie Burris for its next matchup, also April 23 at 6 p.m.
