In an in-state rivalry match the Ball State men’s tennis team (9-8, 1-1 MAC) lost to Butler (12-3, 1-0 Big East) by a score of 4-3.

In doubles matches, sophomores Tom Carney and Conner Andersen won their second-flight matches. In the third-flight match, senior Patrick Downs and sophomore Marko Guzina won 6-2 sets. They secured the doubles point, going 1-0.

In singles matches, Andersen won his singles match at fifth-flight. At the second-flight, Guzina won two out of three sets. Downs saw his match winning streak come to an end. He lost in the third set. Junior Jan Jirus also lost at the sixth-flight singles match in straight sets.
