The 5k was the first annual fundraiser that will just benefit the Delaware County Special Olympics.
Ashley Russell, a volunteer for the Special Olympics, explains the event.
“Our athletes were hidden, athletes and volunteers were hidden around the course as zombies and the runners had on belts on with flags and the point of it was to get through the course with their flags in tact," says Russell.
Russell says that only two runners made it through with their flags in tact. The fundraiser raised approximately $1,000.
