Homecoming Village to kick off Homecoming Week

The Homecoming Village on Monday night kicked off Homecoming Week. There were a number of things for people to do, including getting a henna tattoo, getting their palms read, and even a man juggling on stilts.
The Homecoming Village on Monday night kicked off Homecoming Week. There were a number of things for people to do, including getting a henna tattoo, getting their palms read, and even a man juggling on stilts.

The Ball State Homecoming Steering Committee opens Homecoming Week tonight with a "Blast from the Past"-themed Homecoming Village.

The Homecoming Village will be located on Martin Street between Riverside and University avenues from 7 to 9 p.m. 

The event provides new and fun opportunities for students, faculty/staff, the Muncie community and alumni to become involved and enjoy Ball State's Homecoming Week, according to bsu.edu. 

The event is free to students and will include:

  • Games
  • Photo booth
  • Food trucks
  • Free cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones
  • DJ entertainment 
  • Henna tattoo artists
  • Performances by Ball State Cheerleaders and Code Red
  • Specials offered from Village businesses

This year's Homecoming Village will also feature the coronation of student and faculty/staff royals.
