The meet, however, was cut short due to the dangerously high wind speeds.

Freshman Regan Lewis tied for first in the high jump after clearing 1.55 meters.

In the triple jump, junior Gabrielle Perryman had a career-best mark of 11.19m, earning her second place.

Senior Marie Lumpkin finished third in the hammer throw with a distance of 54.64m.

As the weather conditions started to decline over the afternoon, junior Ariel Hune placed fourth in 400m dash with a time of 1:01.32. Freshman Jazmin Smith also had a career-best and placed fifth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.56.

The 4x400m relay team consisting of sophomore Anna-Kay West, freshman Peyton Stewart, freshman Amber McGee and senior Christina Crawford earned a third-place finish with a time of 48.18.

Up next for the Cardinals is the Ball State Challenge on April 15-16 at the Briner Sports Complex. The meet will also be Alumni Weekend.
