Women's basketball faces off against Northern Illinois for Senior Night

Women's Basketball All-time Leading Scorers

1. Tamara Bowie (2000-03): 2091

2. Nathalie Fontaine (2012-Present): 2069

3. Kate Endress (2002-05): 1843

4. Emily Maggert (2007-11): 1708

5. Johna Goff (2001-04): 1635

Forwards Shelby Merder and Nathalie Fontaine will be playing in their last home game tonight, but there will be more games to come as the team has already clinched a first-round bye in the Mid-American Conference tournament.

Fontaine is 23 points away from becoming Ball State's women's basketball all-time leading scorer, and her family from Sweden will be at the game to watch.

What would be a storybook ending for the 6'2" senior could be halted by Northern Illinois. In the two teams' previous meeting, the Cardinals beat the Huskies 73-57 in Dekalb, Ill., and Fontaine went 6-13 from the floor for 19 points.

With two games remaining until the MAC Tournament, the Cardinals will also be fighting for seeding in the tournament.

Ball State and Northern Illinois tip-off at 7 p.m. on March 2 in Worthen Arena.
