Ball State Students make efforts to go green on campus

BEAT, a Ball State energy conservation team, is spreading the word about going green on Ball State’s campus.

Casey Malue, BEAT’s PR rep, says that BEAT is in charge of making people aware of conservation.

“We handle a lot of sustainability efforts.” Malue said. “Just little things here and there to help the campus be more green and to get the campus more involved in the community at Ball State.”

Students can participate in this challenge, starting March 28-April 18, by taking shorter showers, turning off the lights and unplugging appliances.

Every building, including residence halls, is participating in the challenge. Participants will be able to keep track of their building’s energy use by viewing an online building dashboard.
