In 2001, David Letterman sent his sidekick producer, Biff Henderson, to Ball State during homecoming week. This came after the 21-game losing streak featured in several Late Show segments.
During his visit Biff participated in bed races, sat in the homecoming parade, attended the game and interviewed Muncie locals and Ball State alum about what they remember from Dave.
