Voice acting union strike rumored

The SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) is in negotiations with video game producers to renegotiate the Interactive Media Agreement. After two meetings between groups of voice actors and producers, no agreements have been reached. Union members are currently calling a strike to vote.

According to their website, the SAG-AFTRA is seeking to “bring the long-standing agreement into the 21st century.” Some of the requests are residuals based on the success of the project, the limit of and payment for vocally stressful recording sessions and a stunt coordinator on set to train and monitor the actors during performance capture.
