A second week of NFL play brought a second big milestone for a former Ball State football player.
Former receiver Willie Snead caught his first NFL touchdown for the Saints, while cornerback Eric Patterson was promoted to the Colts' active roster.
Snead
A week after Snead's first career reception of 63 yards, he caught four passes for 44 yards and his first career score against the Buccaneers. He also had one fumble in the game.
His touchdown came in the fourth quarter to bring the Saints (0-2) within four points.

Patterson
Patterson signed with the Indianapolis Colts in training camp and was cut prior to the start of the regular season. He was later signed to the practice squad.
On Sept. 18, Patterson was elevated to the 53-man roster.
He expressed his excitement on Twitter, saying, "GOD is good ... blessed to be apart of the 53 man roster! Dream come true thanks @Colts for giving me this opportunity #lift #savageseason" (sic).
Patterson and the Colts will cap off week two of the NFL season tonight versus the New York Jets on ESPN's Monday Night Football.
