The Ball State men's volleyball team dropped its fifth straight match April 4, falling to IPFW in a three-set sweep.

Senior Shane Witmer and junior Marcin Niemczewski returned to the court for Ball State, combining for 15 of the Cardinals' 27 kills on the match.

With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 12-14 on the season, 5-9 in conference, and have dropped from the national rankings.

After its victory against Princeton on March 18, Ball State sat in fifth place in the MIVA with a 12-9 record.

Since, the Cardinals have lost four times and have only managed to win two of 17 sets.
