Ball State sweeps 2 matches on Senior Day

It marked the final home matches for seniors Courtney Earnest, Ashlyn Rang and Courtney Wild.

“It has been a privilege to coach Courtney Wild, Ashlyn Rang and Courtney Earnest," head coach Max Norris said in a statement. "I hope the Ball State community knows the mark they have left here. This was a good send-off for them, and we are excited now to focus on Miami this Sunday.”

The senior trio combined to go 5-0 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles action.

The Cardinals also received wins on the day from sophomore Toni Ormond, junior Bethany Moore, sophomore Rosalinda Calderon and freshman Olivia Large.

With the wins, Ball State improves to 15-4 overall and 4-2 in MAC play. They sit alone in third place in the conference.

“I am so proud of our team’s final home matches here at Cardinal Creek,” Wild said in a statement. “I have been privileged to be able to represent Ball State these past four years.”
