The Redhawks defeated the Cardinals in the doubles point to start the match.

Ormond and Rang earned Ball State's lone doubles victory at the No. 3 position. They defeated Andreea Badileanu and Ramona Costeas 6-2.

In singles play, Ball State and Miami split the six matches. Ormond and Rang earned two victories for the Cardinals at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
