Senior Shelbie Justice scored a season-high 21 points and joined the 1,000 career-point club as Ball State defeated Bowling Green 77-52.
"Early in my career I never thought I'd be able to reach 1,000 [points]," Justice said. "I didn't even know I was that close, so it was a great surprise."
Nathalie Fontaine, Jill Morrison and Renee Bennett joined Justice in double-figure scoring, as the Cardinals shot 47 percent from the field.
The Cardinals recorded 17 assists, scored 20 points in the paint and shot 45 percent from 3-point range.
"We still have a lot to improve on, but we are on our way to where we want to be," Justice said.
Ball State picked up 38 rebounds, including 28 defensive rebounds. They also managed 11 turnovers and four steals, turning those into 20 points. The Cardinals led by as many as 27 points and not once having the lead drop below 14 points in the second half.
"We have been working hard on our rebounds, because that's a big factor in us being able to win." Sallee said. "Seeing us be able to beat them in rebounds by that margin is something we want to see continue if we want to remain successful."
With its third consecutive win, Ball State improves to 13-10 overall, 9-3 in the Mid-American Conference and continues to lead the West Division.
Ball State returns to action at 7 p.m. on Feb. 18, hosting Central Michigan in Worthen Arena.
