The Baltimore Ravens have cut former Ball State record-setting quarterback Keith Wenning.

A sixth round selection of the Ravens in May's NFL draft, Wenning was released prior to the league's 4 p.m. deadline.

The Ravens elected to only keep two quarterbacks on its roster, with four-year veteran Tyrod Taylor serving as Joe Flacco's backup.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Wenning said he wants to sign with the Ravens' practice squad if he clears waivers.

While at Ball State, Wenning threw for 11,402 yards and 92 touchdowns, both school records.
