The Ball State women's volleyball team won't be taking an easy route for another NCAA Tournament run this season.
Its 2012 schedule was released Wednesday, which included 15 matches against top-100 RPI opponents.
Ball State will also host two non-conference home tournaments. The Active Ankle Challenge will open its season on Aug. 24-25, with VCU, Gardner-Webb and Illinois State competing.
The Ball State Tournament will take place on Sept. 14-15. Pittsburgh, Wright State and Wyoming round out the tournament field.
After playing through a 16-match conference schedule and the Mid-American Conference Tournament, Ball State will once again host a non-conference match to possibly close out the season. Xavier will be that opponent, playing at Ball State on Nov. 24.
The lone non-conference contest mirrors the match against St. Louis last on Nov. 26.
