The Ball State's men's golf team will be competing in its toughest event this season on Friday and Saturday. The team is in Tempe, Arizona for the Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational at Karsten Course.

Coach Mike Fleck and the rest of the team are excited to get out and play in this tournament.

"This is by far the most competitive field we will be in," Fleck said. "We will just go out and do the best we can do. The concept is to just go and do what we can do."

The 17-team field features six of the nationally ranked top-30 teams according to GolfStat. UNLV (2), California (3), Washington (5), San Diego State (9), New Mexico (18), and Oklahoma (28) are all competing in the field. No other MAC schools are entered into the invitiational.

The first two rounds will occur on Friday with the final round following Saturday.
