MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Ball State sweeps Pfeiffer on the road

Three players tie for team lead in kills

The Ball State men's volleyball picked up two wins this weekend with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-23) sweep over Pfeiffer on Saturday following its 3-1 defeat of Limestone on Saturday.

Larry Wrather, Kevin Owens and Greg Herceg each hit a team-high eight kills against Pfeiffer to give Ball State (5-2) its highest attack percentage of the 2012 season at .282. 

Owens teamed up with Leske in the middle of the net to carry the Cardinals on defense, with Leske finishing with five blocks while Owens had four. 

Ball State also reduced its service errors to eight for its lowest total this year. 

Ball State will return to play Loyola at home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Lewis on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The two matches will mark the start of Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Assocation play for the Cardinals.
