The day following Ball State's 73-63 loss to No. 16 Arizona, the Mid-American Conference West Division named senior forward Jarrod Jones Player of the Week.

The award comes from his performance of 25 points and nine rebounds against Arizona on Sunday. He shot 73 percent from the field along with a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range.

Jones was a preseason All-MAC West Division selection this season. The weekly award is the seventh of Jones' career and the first of this season.

His 25 points in the loss to Arizona tied a career-high, which he did twice last season, once on Dec. 31 against North Carolina A&T and again on Jan. 8 against MAC opponent Northern Illinois.
