WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Ball State completes sweep over Buffalo

Marx earns start for injured Boyd, hits 12 kills

Sophomore middle blocker Mindy Marx made sure an injury to Jennifer Boyd didn't derail Ball State on Saturday night.

Ball State cruised to an easy sweep against Buffalo, winning 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-17). The Cardinals picked up their play after narrowly beating Toledo 3-2 on Thursday night.

Marx earned the start in place of Boyd and hit 12 kills and a .625 attack percentage. Her kills were the second highest total on the team, trailing only sophomore outside hitter Kylee Baker, who had 13.

Ball State's offense stayed consistent throughout the match, never dropping below a success rate of .323.
