Following a third-place performance at the Columbia Orthopedic Group Mizzou Intercollegiate, sophomore Alex Stinson was selected as the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week.
Stinson propelled Ball State to a tie for fifth-place in the tournament, shooting a six-over par 222. Stinson shot 12 strokes better than Joe Gasser, who finished with Ball State's second best score of 234.
The award is the first of Stinson's two-year career at Ball State.
Stinson was inserted into the lineup for the first time since early February in the Mizzou Intercollegiate.
He finished as the top MAC performer in the field at the tournament.
