MEN'S GOLF: Cardinals 10th after 36 holes in Missouri

Stinson leads Ball State with 149 in Columbia Orthopedic Tournament in Columbia, Mo.

After 36 holes of play, Ball State men's golf is tied for 10th out of 16 teams at the Columbia Orthopedic Tournament in Columbia, Mo.

Tied with Arkansas-Little Rock, the Cardinals managed to score a 633 in the first two rounds. Host school Missouri leads the tournament, shooting a 600.

Sophomore Alex Stinson led the Cardinals with a 149. Senior Eric Steger and sophomore Joe Gasser each scored 159, tying them for 40th. Freshman Tyler Merkel scored a 166 and junior TJ Carpenter scored a 170 to round out the team.

Play at the Columbia Orthopedia Tournament continues Tuesday at 8 a.m.
