MEN'S BASKETBALL: Ball State busted by Wofford in BracketBusters

Cardinals suffer seventh loss in last nine games

New game, same problems.

Wofford capitalized on Ball State's late turnovers and poor shooting to win the 2011 Sears BracketBusters game on Saturday.

It was a game of runs as the teams traded leads throughout the second half. With 1:37 left in the game, the Cardinals were within striking distance, but back-to-back turnovers put Wofford's lead out of reach.

Ball State committed only 11 turnovers in the contest, but they came at the worst times.

The Cardinals were forced to battle back all game because of their 37.9 percent shooting.

Five players scored in double figures for Ball State. Jarrod Jones led the team with 13 points and added five rebounds despite leaving last game with an injury.

The Cardinals are now 15-11 on the year after losing seven of their last nine games. Wofford improves to 16-12.
