Ball State University is tied for eighth place at the Mizzou Intercollegiate after two rounds of play.
Ball State is tied with fellow Mid-American Conference member Northern Illinois University at 17 over par. Kansas State University leads the 15-team event by a stroke over the University of Nebraska at five under.
Freshman Tony Lazzara leads the Cardinals at two over par. He is tied for 19th, one stroke ahead of teammate Eric Steger. There are 83 golfers participating in the tournament.
The final round will begin today at 8 a.m. in Columbia, Mo.
